<br />ORiGiNAL <br /> <br />068804 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into this I 't1~ day of ~ JooJtE:, <br /> <br />,2007, by <br /> <br />and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, hereinafter called "County," and CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, hereinafter called "Contractor"; <br /> <br />WI TNE~~ETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 31000, County may contract <br />with independent contractors for the furnishing of such services to or for County or any <br />Department thereof; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 23210.1, County Service Area <br />No.8 was created on November 21, 1972 to provide for fire protection and garbage service <br />in certain unincorporated areas of the County. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that Contractor be retained for the purpose <br />of Fire Protection and Emergency Response services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone <br />located in San Mateo County Service Area No.8. This geographic area is specified in <br />Exhibit "A", section (a) and in Exhibit "c" "Map of Fire Protection Sub-Zone of San Mateo <br />County Service Area No.8". <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES HERETO <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Exhibits and Attachments <br />The following exhibits and attachments are included hereto and incorporated by reference <br />herein: <br /> <br />Exhibit A-Services <br />Exhibit B-Payments and rates <br />Exhibit C-Map of Fire Protection Sub-Zone of San Mateo County Service Area No.8 <br />Attachment I-g504 Compliance <br /> <br />2. Services to be performed bv Contractor <br />In consideration of the payments set forth herein and in Exhibit "B," Contractor shall <br />perform services for County in accordance with the terms, conditions and specifications set <br />forth herein and in Exhibit "A." <br />
