11/25/96 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12954 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE MUNICIPAL <br /> SERVICES CENTER PAINTING PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURNING OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12903, adopted September 23, <br />1996, the City Clerk readvertised for bids for the Municipal Services Center <br />Painting Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, George E. Masker, inc. of Oakland, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to George E. Masker, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of George E. Masker, Inc., in the amount of Thirty-one <br />Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-two and No/100 Dollars ($31,432.00), computed <br />in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated October 30, 1996, for the <br />Municipal Services Center Painting Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement" (form dated 11/14/96) by <br /> <br />and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br />California and George E.
