O Y, I G I N A L 9/23/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12914 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR OPERATION BROWN BAG <br /> <br /> (SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF <br /> SANTA CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES)) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo <br />Counties ("Contractor") conducts a free food distribution program for elderly <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the "Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996, and <br />ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000) <br />from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented <br />to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br /> agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Operation Brown Bag," <br /> (form dated 09/06/96), by and between the City of Redwood City and Second <br /> <br /> <br />
