DES:dj'' 09/17/96 (011/38) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/23/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12904 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE STREET <br /> TREE MAINTENANCE PROJECT 1996-1997; AUTHORIZINGEXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12826, adopted July 29, <br />1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Comprehensive <br />Street Tree Maintenance Project 1996-1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Golden Bear Arborists, Inc. of Monrovia, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of said <br />bidder; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Golden Bear Arborists, Inc., setting forth <br />hourly rates stated in said bidder's proposal dated August 21, <br />1996, for the Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance Project <br />1996-1997, is hereby accepted, said hourly rates are hereby <br />expressly accepted for purposes of determining actual <br />compensation under the agreement, subject to the maximum <br />limitation of expenditures thereunder of One Hundred Eighty-two <br />Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-nine and 34/100 Dollars <br />($182,389.34), and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> <br />
