DES:dj~ 09/10/96 (044/42) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 9/23/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12903 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR THE MUNICIPAL SERVICES <br /> CENTER PAINTING PROJECT, DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br /> SECURITY; APPROVING REVISED CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR SAID <br /> PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING READVERTISEMENT <br /> FOR BIDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12842 adopted August 12, <br />1996, this Council authorized advertisement for bids for the <br />Municipal Services Center Painting Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, one bid was <br />received; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined that said bid exceeds <br />the funds available for the Project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to <br />exercise its reserved right to reject said bid, to approve the <br />revised contract documents and direct readvertisement for the <br />Project; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid received in response to advertisement for bids <br />made pursuant to Resolution No. 12842, adopted August 12, 1996, <br />for the Municipal Services Center Painting Project is rejected, <br />the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to <br />said bidder the bid security furnished by said bidder in <br />accordance with the Instructions to Bidders for said Project. <br /> <br /> 2.
