DES:dj~ 08/20/96 (038/42) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L --9/16/96 <br /> <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O. 12890 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF FLAP GATES FOR THE <br /> ODDSTAD STORM PUMP STATION AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br />competitive bidding for the hereinafter described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Works Services Department requires the <br />purchase of two 24", one 36" and one 12" flap gate to prevent the <br />backflow of tidal waters into the City's storm drain system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of <br />said flap gates in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Twenty-seven and 15/100 Dollars ($10,727.15); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of flap gates <br />to be installed at the Oddstad Storm Pump Station in the City of <br />Redwood City from Waterman Industries, Inc. of Exeter, California <br />in an amount not to exceed Ten Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty- <br />seven and 15/100 Dollars ($10,727.15). <br /> <br /> 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute all documents required in connection with the purchase <br /> authorized herein (in form approved by the City Attorney) for and <br /> on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
