ORIGINAL <br /> (08/26/96) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12879 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Service League of San Mateo County <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Service League of San Mateo County is a private, non-profit agency that <br />provides motivation to adult prisoners, through programs and services, to recognize their <br />worth, and to encourage them to seek worthy goals and to behave in a responsible manner; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Service League of San Mateo County, has requested financial assistance for <br />use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996 and ending <br />June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br />Service League of San Mateo County a private, non-profit agency the sum of Thirteen Thousand <br />and No/100 Dollars ($13,000); and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Service League of San <br /> Mateo County has been presented to this council and it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> to approve the same; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Service League of San Mateo County a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the <br /> City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br /> approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
