0 R I G I N A L (08/26/96) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12870 <br /> <br /> Reaolutlon Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Human Inveatment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single <br /> Parents Program) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents <br />Program) is a private, non-profit agency that provides assistance to alleviate and improve <br />housing conditions of the needy, the disabled, elderly and others whose housing needs are not <br />being adequately met in Redwood City and San Mateo County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents <br />Program), has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996 and ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br /> Human investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) a private, non- <br /> profit agency the sum of Eleven Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($11,000); and <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Human Investment <br /> Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) has been presented to this council <br /> and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOO CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> and Human Investment Project, inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) a copy of <br /> which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby <br /> made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the Cit~ of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
