VFIaa Nil (, <br />FUNDING AGREEMENT FOR HUMAN SERVICES <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br />FRESH LIFELINES FOR YOUTH, INC. <br />,,_,,,`T -HIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 19 day <br />of M� Nt/1019, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />a municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Fresh Lifelines for Youth, <br />Inc., a California nonprofit corporation ("Contractor'). Collectively, the City and <br />Contractor will be referred to as the "Parties". <br />RECITALS <br />A. WHEREAS, Contractor provides legal education, mentoring, and <br />leadership training to prevent juvenile crime and incarceration ("Program"); and <br />B. WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />2018, and ending June 30, 2019; and <br />C. WHEREAS, City has reviewed the request and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2018, and ending June 30, 2019, to be used by Contractor solely <br />for the purposes described in paragraph 2. <br />2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor shall use the funds provided pursuant to <br />paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes described in Exhibit "A" (Contract <br />Objectives) attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br />3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program as described in <br />Exhibit "A" to this agreement shall be made without the prior written consent of City. <br />4. PAYMENTS. Contractor will keep detailed and accurate records of all <br />expenditures made and expenses incurred which are funded under this agreement. <br />Payments of funds allocated pursuant to paragraph 1 shall be made to Contractor within <br />30 calendar days after Funding Agreement is fully signed and executed. <br />5. STANDARD OF SERVICE. Contractor warrants to the City that the <br />Program will be performed to the highest standards provided for projects of a similar or <br />like nature in the San Francisco Bay Area, as determined by City's Human Services <br />Manager.
