ORIGINAL <br /> (08/26/96) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12863 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Center For the Independence of the Disabled <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center For the Independence of the Disabled is a private, non-profit agency <br />that provides volunteers in money management; peer counseling, personal attendant referral; <br />and independent living skills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center For the Independence of the Disabled, has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />1996 and ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br />Center For the Independence of the Disabled a private, non-profit agency the sum of Eight <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($8,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Center For the <br />Independence of the Disabled has been presented to this council and it is the intention and desire <br /> <br />of this Council to approve the same; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CrTY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Center For the Independence of the Disabled a copy of which agreement is on file in the office <br />of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
