O R I G 'I N A L (08/26/96) <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12862 <br /> <br /> Reeolutlon Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Center For Domestic Violence Prevention <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center For Domestic Violence Prevention is a pdvate, non-profit agency that <br />provides the only emergency and transitional shelter for victims of domestic violence and their <br />children in San MateD County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Center For Domestic Violence Prevention, has requested financial assistance <br />for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1996 and <br />ending June 30, 1997; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to <br />Center For Domestic Violence Prevention a private, non-profit agency the sum of Fifteen <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($15,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of Redwood City and the Center For Domestic <br />Violence Prevention has been presented to this council and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br />Council to approve the same; <br /> ~, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 8/26/96), by and between the City of Redwood City <br />and Center For Domestic Violence Prevention a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of <br />the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
