05/06/2019 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15760 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND <br />SALARY PLAN TO REINSTATE THE CLASSIFICATION OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES DIRECTOR, DELETE THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br />HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER, AND AMEND THE <br />CLASSIFICATIONS OF DEPUTY FIRE MARSHAL AND PARKING <br />ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br />WHEREAS, to meet the current and future operational needs of the City, the City <br />Manager has requested that the classification of Human Resources Director be <br />reinstated, the classification of Human Resources Manager be deleted, the classification <br />of Deputy Fire Marshall be amended, and the classification of Parking Enforcement <br />Officer be amended and expanded to a two-tiered classification; and <br />WHEREAS, the classification specifications as described in Exhibit A-1 were <br />prepared by Human Resources staff in consultation with department management to <br />ensure the foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br />WHEREAS, Human Resources staff conducted salary studies and reached <br />agreement with department management on the recommended salary ranges as listed in <br />Exhibit A-2; and <br />WHEREAS, the City met and conferred with Service Employees International <br />Union Local 521 (SEIU), and reached agreement on the terms, conditions, and <br />recommended salary range for the two-tiered Parking Enforcement Officer classification <br />as listed in Exhibit A-2. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City's Classification and Salary Plan is hereby amended as listed in <br />Exhibits A-1 and A-2. <br />2.
