DES:djk 08/09/96 (034/42) <br /> o R I G I N A L -- 8/26/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12857 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF <br /> ONE (1) TRIPLE COMBINATION FIRE PUMPER UNDER THE <br /> COOPERATIVE PURCHASE PROVISIONS OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> CRUZ PURCHASE ORDER NO. 34539 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Redwood City Code Section 2.80 the City <br />of Redwood City may request any local agency as defined by <br />Section 54201 of the California Government Code to purchase <br />materials, equipment, or supplies on behalf of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Cruz, Purchase Order No. 34539 <br />includes a Cooperative Purchase Provision which offers other <br />public agencies the opportunity to purchase equipment from Pierce <br />Manufacturing, Inc. of Appleton, Wisconsin; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the aforesaid purchase order of the City of Santa <br />Cruz conforms to the requirements of Redwood City Code Section <br />2.80; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />purchase one (1) Pierce 1500 GPM Class "A" Triple Combination <br />Fire Pumper from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc. pursuant to the <br />Cooperative Purchase Provision of the City of Santa Cruz Purchase <br />Order No.34539; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute all necessary and appropriate documents for and on behalf <br />of the City of Redwood City for the purchase of one (1) Pierce <br />1500 GPM Class "A" Triple Combination Fire Pumper from Pierce <br /> <br /> <br />
