08/26/2019 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15791 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF ALL -WAY STOP SIGNS AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF ROOSEVELT AVENUE AND FERNSIDE STREET <br />WHEREAS, the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (Manual) has been <br />adopted by the California Department of Transportation and by the City of Redwood City to <br />provide uniform standards for all traffic control devices; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 28.07 of the Manual states that the use of multi -way stop signs <br />should be based on an engineering study. One of the criteria which may be considered in the <br />study is whether there is an intersection of two residential neighborhood collector (through) streets <br />of similar design, traffic volume and operating characteristics where multi -way stop control would <br />improve traffic operational characteristics of the intersection; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff's investigation, as described in the staff report, has confirmed the <br />existence of this condition at the subject site. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
