; _ 0 R I G I N A L 7/15/96 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12816 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF STREET WIDENING <br /> IMPROVEMENTS PORTION OF JEFFERSON AVENUE; <br /> ACCEPTING GRANT OF REAL PROPERTY; GRANTING <br /> PERMANENT ENCROACHMENT PERMIT; AND ACCEPTING <br /> TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has undertaken the construction of <br /> a railroad crossing underpass on Jefferson Avenue, between Middlefield Road <br /> and El Camino Real, Redwood City, California, (the "Project"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Project requires the acquisition of a portion of the <br /> <br /> property located at 1089 EL CAMIN0 REAL , Redwood City, <br /> <br /> California, along Jefferson Avenue; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to improve an area off Jefferson Avenue, <br /> next to the Property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City desires to grant Safeway Inc., a permanent <br /> <br /> Encroachment Permit for parking purposes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AS FOLLOWS, that: <br /> <br /> 1. That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Construction of Street <br /> Widening Improvements - portion of Jefferson Avenue," (form dated 05/09/96) by <br /> and between the City of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> California and Safeway Inc., a copy of which Agreement is on file in the office of <br /> the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br /> <br /> Reso-37 <br /> G:/shared/Redwood/Council <br /> 05/09/96 <br /> FX$:rg <br /> <br /> <br />
