DES:dju 06/18/96 (008/42) <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 7/1/96 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 12810 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR DIESEL/FUEL SYSTEM REMOVAL <br /> AND REPLACEMENT, REDWOOD SHORES AREA "A" AND SEAPORT <br /> CENTRE STORM DRAINAGE PUMP STATIONS, AND FIRE STATIONS <br /> NOS. 11 AND 12; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR <br /> SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12736, adopted April 22, <br />1996, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the combined project <br />for diesel/fuel system removal and replacement, Redwood Shores <br />Area "A" and Seaport Centre storm drainage pump stations, and <br />Fire Stations Nos. 11 and 12 in the City of Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Avila Construction of Vacaville, California, is the <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to accept said bid of Avila Construction; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Avila Construction, in the amount of One <br />Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty-seven and <br />No/100 Dollars ($184,387.00), comprised of the base bid (and <br />excluding the alternate bid items), computed in accordance with <br />said bidder's proposal dated May 22, 1996, for the combined <br />project for diesel/fuel system removal and replacement, Redwood <br />Shores Area "A" and Seaport Centre storm drainage pump stations, <br />and Fire Stations Nos. 11 and 12, is hereby accepted, and said <br /> <br /> <br />
