0l/o9/zoiz <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15161 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING UPON THE <br /> FORMATION OF MIDDLEFIELD ROAD UNDERGROUND UTILITIES <br /> DISTRICT 2011-1 <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City proposes to remove existing overhead utility lines and <br /> other appurtenances and place said utility lines and other appurtenances underground <br /> on Middlefield Road between Main Street and MacArthur Avenue; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council is authorized to form an Underground Utility District <br /> after holding a public hearing in accordance with the provisions of Section Chapter 11 of <br /> the Redwood City Code, and <br /> WHEREAS, service pedestals, transformers, utility boxes, support poles with <br /> anchors, and any other facilities that cannot be undergrounded will remain above <br /> ground within the proposed District, and <br /> WHEREAS, PG&E will be the lead for the panel service conversions and will pay <br /> the costs for the panel conversions within the proposed District. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> THAT this City Council will hold a public hearing to determine whether the public <br /> necessity, health, safety or welfare require the formation of an Underground Utility <br /> District and the removal of poles, overhead wires and associated overhead structures <br /> within the area, said District being shown on the certain legal description and boundary <br /> map entitled "Proposed Middlefield Road Underground Utility District 2011-1" in Exhibit <br /> "A" and described in Exhibit "B", said Exhibit "A" and "B" being attached hereto. <br /> Said Public Hearing will be held at 7p.m., January 23, 2011, City Council Chambers, <br /> 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California. <br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Community Development Director is <br /> directed to notify all property owners within proposed District and all utility companies <br /> which will be affected and provide services within proposed District by sending copies of <br /> this resolution by first class mail at least ten (10) days prior to the date of said hearing. <br /> � , ,� <br /> ATTY/RES0.2185/ MIDDLEFIELD UUD RE50 15161 <br /> REV:12/19/11 MUFF # 804 <br />
