11/19/2012 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 15230 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE GRANT OF, AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF GRANT DEEDS FOR, REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, on or about March 7, 2011, the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency ("RDA") transferred three parcels ("Parcels") identified in Exhibits A, B and C to the City of Redwood City ("City") in order to protect its Redevelopment activities; and WHEREAS, as part of the 2011-12 State budget bill, AB 1X 26 ("Dissolution Act") was enacted, dissolving all redevelopment agencies statewide; and WHEREAS, the Dissolution Act provides that asset transfer occurring between redevelopment agencies and other public bodies after January 1, 2011 are not valid; and WHEREAS, the City has opted to voluntarily rewind the transfers of the Parcels and grant the Parcels to the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency for processing consistent with the Dissolution Act; and WHEREAS, the City is still interested in maintaining ownership of the Library Parking Facility and understands it will have an opportunity at a later time to request such transfer of ownership of this Parcel from the Successor Agency pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 34181 and 34191.1 et seq. (Postcompliance Provisions); and WHEREAS, the Successor Agency is willing to accept the Parcels; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby approves and authorizes the Mayor to execute the Grant Deeds attached hereto as Exhibits A, B, and C, subject to any minor conforming, technical or clarifying changes approved by the City Attorney, and to execute such additional documents and take such further actions or steps as are necessary to consummate the transaction. * � * ATTY/RES0.2803/CITY AUTHORIZING GRANT DEEDS TO SA RESO.#15230 REV: 11-05-12 VR MUFF#608
