12/03/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15236 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY APPROVING A HISTORIC PRESERVATION <br /> CONTRACT FOR 726/728 BREWSTER AVENUE <br /> WHEREAS, on September 26, 2012, the Historic Resources Advisory <br /> Committee considered and recommended that a Historic Property Preservation <br /> Contract (Mills Act Contract) be approved for 726/728 Brewster Avenue ("Historic <br /> Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 27, 2012, the Planning Commission considered <br /> and recommended to the City Council that a Historic Property Preservation <br /> Contract be approved for said property pursuant to the provisions of the <br /> Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance; Chapter 40, Section 40.5.K; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic Property is designated as an historic landmark <br /> according to the historic designation criteria established by the Redwood City <br /> Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic Property and applicant qualify for a Historic <br /> Preservation Contract; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Redwood City and the <br /> residents therein, that a preservation agreement be approved to assist in the <br /> restoration and preservation of the Historic Property. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The above recitals are accurate and constitute findings in this <br /> matter. <br /> Section 2. That certain Contract between Redwood City and George Lee <br /> for Historic Property Preservation of 726/728 Brewster Avenue is hereby <br /> approved. <br /> Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Historic <br /> Preservation Contract, subject to any minor revisions as may be approved by the <br /> City Attorney. The City Manager is further authorized and shall direct the City <br /> Clerk to record the necessary documents accordingly. <br /> Section 4.
