10/06/2014 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 15375 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE AMENDMENTS TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENTS OF CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, AND CITY CLERK ADJUSTING THEIR SALARIES WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the Redwood City Council periodically determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and compensation plan for the appointed positions of City Manager, City Attorney; and City Clerk; and WHEREAS, the City Council conducts annual performance evaluations of the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk, and reviews salaries with respect to salary survey data of comparable positions in benchmark Cities; and WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk and ensure that salaries remain competitive and in appropriate alignment with other City classifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The base compensation for the position of City Manager shall be increased by eight percent (8 %) effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, 2014; and 2. The base compensation for the position of City Attorney shall be increased by four percent (4 %) effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, 2014; and 3. The base compensation for the position of Clerk shall be increased by thirteen percent (13 %), and the five percent (5 %) bilingual differential shall be deleted, effective the first day of the first pay period following July 1, 2014; and 4.
