04/13/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15397 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> ADOPTING THE 1606 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD RELOCATION PLAN AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF RELATED DOCUMENTS AND <br /> ISSUANCE OF RELOCATION BENEFITS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City (City) has acquired property located at <br /> 1606 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA, and improved with a single-family house; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the house is in poor physical condition and while the City engages in <br /> a decision-making process to determine the future of use of the house (if any) and the <br /> future use of the property on which the house is located, the City is obligated by State <br /> law to relocate the house's tenants in accordance with a specified process as described <br /> in a relocation plan adopted by the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, as a result of the acquisition of the property and the City's <br /> determination that the house is not appropriate for residential use in it is current state, <br /> up to four residential tenants will have to be permanently displaced; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has prepared the 1606 Middlefield Road Relocation Plan to <br /> set forth policies and procedures necessary to conform to statutes and regulations <br /> established by the Uniform Relocation Act ("URA") (46 U.S.C. § 4600 et seq.), its <br /> implementing regulations (49 C.F.R.) Part 24), the California Relocation Assistance <br /> Law, California Government Code Section 7260 et seq. (the "CRAL") and the California <br /> Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Guidelines, Title 25, California <br /> Code of Regulations, Chapter 6, Section 6000 et seq. (the "Guidelines") for residential <br /> displacements; and <br /> ATTY/RESO.3064/CC RESO ADOPTING RELOCATION PLAN RESO. 15397 <br /> FOR 1606 MIDDLEFIELD RD MUFF#609 <br /> REV:03-03-15 VR <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
