07/27/2015 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15436 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION IN THE <br /> AMOUNT OF $25,000 FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH RELATED <br /> TO AB 2028 AND AN ALL-MAILED BALLOT ELECTION TO BE <br /> HELD ON NOVEMBER 3, 2015 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City and participate in San Mateo County's all- <br /> mailed ballot election on November 3, 2015, pursuant to AB 2028, to fill four City <br /> Council seats; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City will augment the outreach being handled by the County of <br /> San Mateo Elections Office to further inform and bring awareness to the community; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the City will engage the services of a consultant to provide additional <br /> community communication; and <br /> WHEREAS, City staff requests that the City Council approve an appropriation in <br /> the amount of twenty-five thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) from the General Fund to the <br /> budget of the City Clerk to be used to promote greater community awareness of an all- <br /> mailed ballot election. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1.
