07/24/2017 RESOLUTION NO. 15612 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO INITIATE PROCEEDINGS TO AMEND THE STRATEGIC GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS REQUESTED BY THE JAY PAUL COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH THE HARBOR VIEW PLACE PROJECT WHEREAS, the Applicant, Jay Paul Company, has submitted an application to redevelop the property located at 320, 330, 340 and 350 Blomquist Street, 19 Seaport and 15 and 30 Stein Am Rhein Court with a high tech office complex; and WHEREAS, the Applicant seeks a General Plan Amendment to designate the properties Commercial Office Professional/Technology and Zoning Map Amendment to designate the properties Commercial Park (CP) as part of the entitlements for the above properties; and WHEREAS, Section 18.61 of the Redwood City Municipal Code provides that the City Council may adopt a Resolution of intention to initiate proceedings to amend the General Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The recitals set forth are true and correct and are hereby incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. 2. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings to amend the General Plan as part of an overall development project, as applied for by Jay Paul Company. This initiation does not constitute approval of the amendment or assure any particular action on the amendment by the City Council. The Planning Commission and City Council will consider the General Plan Amendment in their discretion, along with the other requested project entitlements and in accordance with the City's project view process. 3.
