RESOLUTION NO, 15722 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AWARDING A PERFORMANCE BONUS AND APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PROVIDE FOR ADJUSTMENT TO SALARY pursuant to its authority, the City Council periodically determines whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for the appointed positions of City Manager and City Attorney; and the City Council has conducted an annual performance evaluation of the City Attorney, and reviewed compensation with respect to survey data of comparable positions in benchmark cities; and the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City Attorney and ensure that salary remains competitive and in appropriate alignment with other City classifications, and deems it appropriate to award a one-time exceptional performance bonus to the City Attorney

12/03/2018 <br />RESOLUTION NO, 15722 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AWARDING A PERFORMANCE BONUS AND APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY ATTORNEY TO PROVIDE <br />FOR ADJUSTMENT TO SALARY <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to its authority, the City Council periodically determines <br />whether to make adjustments to the salary and benefits plan for the appointed positions <br />of City Manager and City Attorney; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted an annual performance evaluation of <br />the City Attorney, and reviewed compensation with respect to survey data of comparable <br />positions in benchmark cities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council seeks to acknowledge the performance of the City <br />Attorney and ensure that salary remains competitive and in appropriate alignment with <br />other City classifications, and deems it appropriate to award a one-time exceptional <br />performance bonus to the City Attorney. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Attorney is hereby awarded a bonus of 5% of current salary, or <br />eleven thousand nine hundred and eighty one dollars ($11,981), in recognition of <br />exceptional performance pursuant to Section 3 of the City Attorney Employment <br />Agreement and Section II of the City of Redwood City Executive Management Summary <br />of Benefits. <br />2. The Second Amendment to the City Attorney Employment Agreement, <br />attached hereto as Exhibit A, to effectuate the salary adjustment is approved. <br />2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Second Amendment to City <br />Attorney Employment Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A. <br />3.
