A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1 3845 <br />LANDSCAPE BEAUTIFICATION <br />OF EL CAMINO REAL <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY desires to make environmental <br />improvements to the El Camino Real, <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY desires to improve the visual quality <br />of the major transit way named El Camino Real, <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY wishes to encourage property <br />owners to make improvements to their businesses and properties by the City <br />undertaking and demonstrating improvements in the public right -of -way of El <br />Camino Real, <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY wishes to upgrade the quality of life <br />in the neighborhoods adjoining El Camino Real by upgrading the appearance of El <br />Camino Real, <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY wishes to work with Caltrans to <br />achieve a landscape planting plan that will best represent the design plans of our <br />City which include significant numbers of trees and major street tree plantings in <br />the center median and left turn pockets, <br />WHEREAS THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY is committed to making these plans a <br />reality, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREIN RESOLVED: THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />herein resolves to make the beautification of El Camino Real a priority for our City <br />and, <br />FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED: THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY in the spirit of <br />regional cooperation will work collaboratively with the cities of Menlo Park and <br />Palo Alto and in close cooperation with Senator Byron Sher of the 11 th District of <br />California and with Caltrans to achieve the above improvements to El Camino <br />Real. <br />— QA � . .4� <br />— M ayor, — City of Re wood City <br />Date: <br />
