7/10/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13943 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE REDWOOD <br />SHORES LEVEE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT - SEGMENT 1; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13883, adopted April 24, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Redwood Shores Levee Improvements <br />Project - Segment 1 in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, eight bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Granite Construction Company of Watsonville, California, is <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to Granite Construction Company.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Granite Construction Company. in the amount of Three <br />Hundred Thirty -nine Thousand Four Hundred Fifty -seven and No /100 Dollars <br />($339,457.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated May 24, <br />2000 for the Redwood Shores Levee Improvements Project - Segment 1, is <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -914 1 <br />f /sh /sh /RC /Council <br />FXS:rg <br />06/13/00 <br />
