O R I G I N A L — <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999 -2000 STREET <br />OVERLAY PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13935, adopted June 26, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999 -2000 Street Overlay Project, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Interstate Grading & Paving, Inc. of So. San Francisco, <br />California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of <br />this Council to award said bid to Interstate Grading & Paving, Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Interstate Grading & Paving, Inc. in the amount of One <br />Million Two Hundred Forty Three Thousand Three Hundred Twelve and No /100 <br />Dollars ($1,243,312.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br />July 26, 2000 for the 1999 -2000 Street Overlay Project, is hereby accepted and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br />8/14/00 <br />Reso -958 1 <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />DES:djk <br />07/27/00 <br />
