_ 8/28/00 <br />0 R I G I N A L (07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13992 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Ellipse Peninsula Aids Service <br />WHEREAS, Ellipse Peninsula Aids Service is a private, non - profit organization that provides <br />assistance to individuals in San Mateo County who are HIV infected, which services are in furtherance of <br />the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Ellipse Peninsula Aids Service, has requested financial assistance for use by it in <br />conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Ellipse Peninsula Aids Service to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public <br />purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Ellipse Peninsula Aids Service a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which <br />copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
