O R I G I N A L <br />(07/10/00) <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13998 <br />Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br />Agreement With Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County <br />WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides legal services to the poor and disadvantaged of San Mateo County, which services are in <br />furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, has requested financial assistance for use <br />by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000 and ending June 30, 2001; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County to provide financial assistance in furtherance of its <br />public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 7/10/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and Legal <br />Aid Society of San Mateo County a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br />is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />8/28/00 <br />
