ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14014 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE CITYWIDE <br />RESURFACING PROJECT; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITIES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />8/28/00 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13939, adopted July 10, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Citywide Resurfacing Project in the City <br />of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, five bids were received; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that all bids exceeded the <br />estimated amount for the project; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to exercise its <br />reserved right to reject all bids and to authorize and direct the City Clerk to return <br />all bid securities furnished by said bidders and in accordance with the <br />Instructions to Bidders for said improvements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />The bids received in response to advertisement for bids made pursuant <br />to Resolution No. 13939, adopted July 10, 2000, for the Citywide Resurfacing <br />Project is, and each of them are, hereby rejected; the City Clerk is hereby <br />authorized and directed to return to said bidders all bid securities furnished by <br />them and in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders for said improvement. <br />Reso -976 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F: Shared /Redwood /Cou nci I <br />08/17/00 <br />
