9/11/00 <br />0 R I G I il n_ L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14035 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br />MERVIN G. MORRIS BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB <br />(BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE PENINSULA) <br />WHEREAS, the Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula (Contractor) conducts a <br />facility renovation/improvement project to 1109 Hilton which provides services to at -risk <br />youth who are residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Ten Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($10,000.00) from <br />its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, Agreement for Capital Improvements to the <br />Mervin Morris Boys and Girls Club (Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula) (form dated <br />8/15/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and Boys and Girls Club of the <br />8/15/00 <br />
