9/11/00 <br />0 R I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14036 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR HOUSING ASSOCIATION FOR THE NEEDY AND <br />DISPOSSESSED, INC., (HAND) A NON - PROFIT CHDO <br />FOR FUNDING TO REHABILITATE REDWOOD OAKS APARTMENTS <br />AT 330 -340 REDWOOD AVENUE <br />(HOUSING FOR THE NEEDY AND DISPOSSESED) <br />WHEREAS, The Housing for the Needy and Dispossessed operates a multi - family <br />apartment building to provide affordable housing for residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br />Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to rehabilitate <br />the building during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Fifty Three Thousand, One Hundred Forty <br />Four and No /100 Dollars ($153,144.00) from its Community Housing Development <br />Organization (CHDO setaside) HOME Partnership Investment Program funds for the <br />foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said agreement <br />and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />8/15/00 1 <br />
