6/25/01 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14259 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO FOR <br />CERTAIN SERVICES RELATING TO GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION OF NOVEMBER 6, 2001 <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City and Ordinance No. 2078, adopted April 11, 1994, the <br />General Municipal Election of the City of Redwood City shall be held in said City <br />on the same day as School District Elections, to wit: the first Tuesday after the <br />first Monday in November of each odd - numbered year; and <br />WHEREAS, the General Municipal Election of the City of Redwood City <br />shall be held on November 6, 2001, and shall be consolidated with School <br />District Elections to be held on said date; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo provides certain services pertaining <br />to the conduct of elections as set forth more fully in the Agreement hereinafter <br />referenced; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain Agreement by and between the City of Redwood City, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California, and the County of San Mateo, <br />entitled "Service Agreement for the Provision of Election Services between the <br />Reso -1181 1 <br />GAs h a red \redwood \co u n c i l <br />FXS:jj <br />06/19/01 <br />
