6/25/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14260 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 SLURRY <br />SEAL PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 14200, adopted April 23, 2001, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Slurry Seal Project, Redwood <br />City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc. of <br />Hayward, California is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and <br />desire of this Council to award said bid to American Asphalt Repair & <br />Resurfacing Co., Inc. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of American Asphalt Repair & Resurfacing Co., Inc. in the <br />amount of Four Hundred Thousand Five Hundred Fifty -one and 12/100 Dollars <br />($400,551.12), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated May 23, <br />2001 for the 2000 -2001 Slurry Seal Project, is hereby accepted and said bidder <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -950 1 <br />DES:djk <br />Shared /Redwood /Council <br />05/29/01 <br />
