08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR MAPLE STREET EMERGENCY <br />SHELTER AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM <br />(SHELTER NETWORK OF SAN MATEO COUNTY) <br />WHEREAS, Shelter Network of San Mateo County (Contractor) conducts a <br />emergency shelter, transitional housing, and comprehensive support services for <br />homeless individuals who reside in the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br />Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001, and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of Fifteen Thousand and no /100 Dollars ($15,000) from <br />its Community Development Block Grant Funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Maple Street Emergency Shelter and <br />Transitional Housing Program" (form dated 8/15/01), by and between the City of <br />Redwood City and the Shelter Network of San Mateo County, a copy of which agreement <br />
