08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14344 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT WITH BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF THE <br />PENINSULA <br />WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides homework support, computer training, and social <br />activities for youth from low- income neighborhoods, which services are in <br />furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and <br />desires to enter into an agreement with Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula to <br />provide financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Boys and Girls Club of the Peninsula, a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full <br />particulars thereof, is hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of <br />Redwood City. <br />Reso -0106 <br />F: /S h a red /Red wood /C o u n c i l <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
