_ 08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 3 s 4 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SAN <br />FRANCISCO <br />WHEREAS, International Institute of San Francisco is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides a full range of immigration legal services leading toward <br />family reunification and United States citizenship as well as voter education and civic <br />participation services, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare <br />and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, International Institute of San Francisco has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with International Institute of San Francisco to provide <br />financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />International Institute of San Francisco, a copy of which agreement is on file in the <br />office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />thereof, is hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0117 <br />F: /S h a red /Redwood /C o u n ci I <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
