L1 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH KAINOS HOME AND TRAINING CENTER <br />WHEREAS, Kainos Home and Training Center is a private, non - profit <br />organization that provides services to adults with developmental disabilities to <br />maximize their potential to become active, contributing members of their community, <br />which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Kainos Home and Training Center has requested financial <br />assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 2001 and ending June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires <br />to enter into an agreement with Kainos Home and Training Center to provide <br />financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Kainos <br />Home and Training Center, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the <br />City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is <br />hereby approved and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and <br />directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0118 <br />F: /S h a red /Redwood /Cou nci I <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
