08/27/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 - 3 r, 4 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH YOUNG LATINO LEADERS <br />WHEREAS, Young Latino Leaders is a private, non - profit organization that <br />provides leadership training for youth through community service and leadership <br />development programs, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare <br />and benefit; and <br />WHEREAS, Young Latino Leaders has requested financial assistance for use by <br />it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2001 and ending <br />June 30, 2002; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />enter into an agreement with Young Latino Leaders to provide financial assistance in <br />furtherance of its public purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and Young <br />Latino Leaders, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved <br />and the City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the <br />same on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />Reso -0127 <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />FXS -dr <br />08/02/01 <br />
