09/10/01 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14370 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />ELEVEN (11) VEHICLES; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the purchase of eleven (11) vehicles for the Public Works Services Department <br />and Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department of the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication seven bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Hayward Ford of Hayward, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of Hayward Ford; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Hayward Ford, in the total amount of Three Hundred Eighty- <br />Four Thousand Four Hundred Ninety -Seven and 80/100 Dollars ($384,497.80), <br />computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated August 15, 2001, for <br />the purchase of eleven (11) vehicles, which bid is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the sale of said vehicles to the City. <br />F:Atty2001 Shared /Redwood /Council /Reso /Reso -1232 1 <br />
