07/01/02 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14 <br />RESOLUTON OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING <br />THE JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE <br />SOUTH BAYSIDE WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement (JPA) for the South <br />Bayside Waste Management Authority ( SBWMA) was entered into on December 9, <br />1999; and <br />WHEREAS, the SBWMA recommends jurisdictions amend the JPA to change <br />the definition of "Fiscal Year'; and <br />WHEREAS, the SBWMA recommends the definition of "Fiscal Year' be changed <br />from "the period commencing on each October 1 and ending on the following <br />September 30" to "the period commencing each July 1 and ending on the following June <br />30." <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the City Council of Redwood City agrees to amend the JPA and change the <br />definition of "Fiscal Year" to "the period commencing on each July 1 and ending <br />on the following June 30" in the SBWMA JPA. <br />F:Atty /Reso /Reso.1312 <br />061402 <br />
