08/23/02 O R I G I N A L RESOLUTION NO. 1 aatia RESOLUTION APPROVING THE BIKE PATH IMPROVEMENT PROJECT GRANT MASTER AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS; AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE FOR THE CITY TO EXECUTE ALL AGREEMENTS AND AMENDMENTS RELATED TO THE PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT AGREEMENT 001 -M FOR FEDERAL AID PROJECT NO. 04 -5029 WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is eligible to receive Federal and /or State funding through a Transportation Enhancement Activity (TEA) Grant for bicycle and pedestrian facilities, through the California Department of Transportation; and WHEREAS, on December 10, 2001, the City Council approved the design concept of eight foot wide multi -use pathways on Redwood Shores and Bridge Parkways; and WHEREAS, on July 15, 2002, the City Council approved the contract documents, and authorized advertisements for bids for the 2001 -2002 Bike Path Improvement Project; and WHEREAS, the plans and specifications associated with the TEA Grant have been approved by the State, and expenditures of the Grant funds have been authorized in the amount of $195,000; and WHEREAS, a Master Agreement and related need to be executed with the California Department of Transportation before such TEA funds can be claimed; and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City wishes to delegate authorization to execute these agreements and any amendments thereto to the City Manager. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The City Council of Redwood City hereby approves the Master Agreement, Program Supplement No. 001 -M and related documents with the Department of Transportation and delegates to City Manager authorization to execute all Master Agreements, Program Supplemental Agreements, Fund Exchange Agreements, and Fund Transfer Agreements related to this project as well as any amendments thereto.
