O R I G I N A L 02/24/03 RESOLUTION NO. 14505 RESOLUTION ADOPTING UNIFORM BUILDING RENTAL RATES FOR PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITIES WHEREAS, in June 1990, the City Council adopted Resolutions No. 11294 and 11295 which adopted a schedule of fees for the use of the Community Activities Building, the Recreation Center and Veterans Memorial Building; and WHEREAS, since 1990, said schedule of fees have remained unchanged; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has conducted a rental fee study to include comparisons with the Cities of Palo Alto, Daly City, Foster City and San Mateo, as well as an internal review of building policies; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department created a taskforce to study the data obtained, develop proposed rates, rules and regulation, and has recommended to the Parks and Recreation Commission uniform building rental rates; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has recommended the adoption by this City Council of uniform building rental rates for Parks and Recreation facilities; and WHEREAS, this Council has determined that approval of such uniform building rental rates for Parks and Recreation facilities would be in the public interest and for the public benefit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the uniform building rental rates for Parks and Recreation facilities attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, are hereby established. 2. Resolutions No. 11294, entitled 'Resolution Adopting a Schedule for the Use of the Community Activities Building and the Recreation Center and Rescinding Resolution No. 9381" and Resolution No.11925, entitled "Resolution Adopting a Schedule for the Use of the Veterans Memorial Building, and rescinding Resolution No. 9382," both of which were adopted on June 4, 1990, are hereby rescinded. :. l F:Atty /Reso /Reso.1369 020403
