01/24/2005 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 14622 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE COST RECOVERY POLICY FOR THE PROCESSING OF PLANNING RELATED APPLICATIONS FOR MAJOR PROJECTS TO REDUCE THE HOURLY BILLING RATE; AND TO EXEMPT THEREFROM: SINGLE FAMILY HOME ADDITIONS OR ALTERATIONS; AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE FAMILY HOME THAT IS NOT PART OF A LARGER SUBDIVISION OR DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION ON A LOT OF ONE QUARTER (114) ACRE (10,890 SQUARE FEET) OR MORE OF LAND. WHEREAS, on September 27, 2004, after a duly noticed public hearing, this Council adopted Resolution No. 14609 which, among other things, set forth a cost recovery policy for the processing of planning related applications for major projects (the "Policy "); and WHEREAS, as contemplated by the Policy, additional data makes it necessary to revise the Hourly Rate, as defined in the Policy, from $149.70 to $118.84; and WHEREAS, the background information presented to the Council related to the Policy clearly indicated that the Policy would not apply to new single family homes on one lot or single family home additions; and WHEREAS, the Policy, as adopted by Council, did not specifically exempt new single family homes or single family home additions; and WHEREAS, the Council desires to exempt from the Policy new single family homes constructed on one lot or a single family home addition /alteration. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: That the cost recovery policy attached as Exhibit 1 to Resolution No. 14609 is repealed in its entirety and replaced with the cost recovery policy attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A." 2.
