01/24/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14622 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE COST RECOVERY POLICY FOR THE <br />PROCESSING OF PLANNING RELATED APPLICATIONS FOR MAJOR <br />PROJECTS TO REDUCE THE HOURLY BILLING RATE; AND TO <br />EXEMPT THEREFROM: SINGLE FAMILY HOME ADDITIONS OR <br />ALTERATIONS; AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SINGLE FAMILY HOME <br />THAT IS NOT PART OF A LARGER SUBDIVISION OR DEVELOPMENT <br />APPLICATION ON A LOT OF ONE QUARTER (114) ACRE (10,890 <br />SQUARE FEET) OR MORE OF LAND. <br />WHEREAS, on September 27, 2004, after a duly noticed public hearing, this <br />Council adopted Resolution No. 14609 which, among other things, set forth a cost <br />recovery policy for the processing of planning related applications for major projects (the <br />"Policy "); and <br />WHEREAS, as contemplated by the Policy, additional data makes it necessary to <br />revise the Hourly Rate, as defined in the Policy, from $149.70 to $118.84; and <br />WHEREAS, the background information presented to the Council related to the <br />Policy clearly indicated that the Policy would not apply to new single family homes on <br />one lot or single family home additions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Policy, as adopted by Council, did not specifically exempt new <br />single family homes or single family home additions; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council desires to exempt from the Policy new single family <br />homes constructed on one lot or a single family home addition /alteration. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />That the cost recovery policy attached as Exhibit 1 to Resolution No. 14609 is <br />repealed in its entirety and replaced with the cost recovery policy attached hereto <br />and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit "A." <br />2.
