7/11/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14657 <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF ST. <br />FRANCIS STREET (55 FEET WIDE) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />PURSUANT TO PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND <br />HIGHWAYS CODE; RESERVING A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT (55 <br />FEET WIDE); SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR SEPTEMBER 12, <br />2005, FOR ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE <br />PROPOSED VACATION AND ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE <br />THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, that portion of St. Francis Street in the City of Redwood City, <br />more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and depicted on Exhibit "B" hereof, <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein (the "Property"), is <br />unnecessary for present or prospective public use; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 (commencing <br />with Section 8300) of the Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the <br />City of Redwood City intends to consider vacating the Property and reserve <br />therefrom a Public Service Easement (55 feet wide) (the "Easement') <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City as follows: <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to hold a public hearing to <br />determine whether to vacate the Property, subject to the conditions listed <br />on Exhibit "C," attached hereto and incorporated herein, and to reserve <br />therefrom the Easement pursuant to the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 <br />(commencing with Section 8300) of the California Streets and Highways <br />Code. <br />Atty /Reso /Reso.1527 14657 <br />070505 1 Muff # 606 <br />
