10/24/2005 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14672 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY -OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal property <br />described as being one (1) 1988 "Scott" test bench used for annual testing of self- <br />contained breathing apparatus used by the Redwood City Fire Department; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property is not needed <br />for present or prospective municipal or public purposes, and should be declared <br />surplus; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and determined that <br />the current reasonable market value of the total of each of the surplus items to be sold <br />as a unit is less than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare said property <br />surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with Section 3 -1/2 of the Charter of the <br />City of Redwood City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that the 1988 Scott test <br />bench is are no longer necessary or required for municipal or public purposes and that <br />the appraised value is less than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). <br />Atty /Reso.1569 * * * 14672 <br />101005 Muff # 705 <br />
