<br />05/07/2007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14777 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br />CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2005-2010) AND APPLICATION FOR <br />FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br />GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br />CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br />CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br />YEAR 2007-2008) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program authorized <br /> <br />pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93- <br /> <br />383), as amended ("the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop <br /> <br />a Consolidated Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> <br />objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> <br />and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br /> <br />Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> <br />the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Seven <br /> <br />Hundred Forty-four Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty One Dollars ($744,251) and <br /> <br />HOME Investment Partnership funds in the amount of Four Hundred and Fifteen <br /> <br />Thousand, Seven Hundred Sixty-nine Dollars ($415,769) for the period of July 1, 2007 <br /> <br />through June 30, 2008; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Manager a Notice of <br /> <br />A TTY/RESO/RESO.1703 <br />043007 <br /> <br />14777 <br />Muff # 404 <br /> <br />1 <br />
