<br />11/19/2007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14819 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF ISLAND . <br />PARKWAY IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO PART 3 <br />OF DIVISION 9, CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE; <br />RESERVING A PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT (0.57 ACRES); <br />SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR JANUARY 7, 2008, FOR ALL <br />PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED <br />VACATION AND ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, that portion of Island Parkway in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />more particularly described in and depicted on Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto <br /> <br />and by this reference incorporated herein (the "Property"), is unnecessary for <br /> <br />present or prospective public use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 (commencing <br /> <br />with Section 8300) of the Streets and Highways Code, the City Council of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City intends to consider vacating the Property and reserve <br /> <br />therefrom a Public Service Easement (0.57 acres) (the "Easement"). <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to hold a public hearing to <br /> <br />determine whether to vacate the Property and to reserve therefrom the <br /> <br />Easement pursuant to the provisions of Part 3, Division 9 (commencing <br /> <br />with Section 8300) of the California Streets and Highways Code. <br /> <br />2. Notice is hereby given that Monday, January 7, 2008, at 7:00 p.m., or as <br /> <br />soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the City Council <br /> <br />Chambers, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, California, is the date, <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1759 <br />11 0807 <br /> <br />14819 <br />Muff # 606 <br />
