<br />, \ <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />SWC:bc 5/28/80 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8 606 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br />JUN 2 1980 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITIONS <br />AND ALTERATIONS TO FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER; REJECTING <br />ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8509, adopted February 25, <br /> <br />1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br /> <br />additions and alterations to Fair Oaks Community Center in the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for <br /> <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TEL-MC COMPANY, INC., Fremont, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this council to award said bid to said Tel-Mc Company, Inc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Tel-Mc Company, Inc. in the total amount of <br /> <br />One Hundred Sixty-nine Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety and No/IOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($169,890.00), computed in accordance with bidder's <br /> <br />base bid proposal dated April 15, 1980, for the construction <br /> <br />according to those specifications entitled "Fair Oaks Community <br /> <br />Center," dated December 29, 1979, on file in the office of the <br /> <br />Department of Public Works, is hereby accepted and said bidder <br /> <br />is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br /> <br />for said work. <br /> <br />2. _Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />for the abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in <br /> <br />n~raaraph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />
