CGM:yc:8/4/80 ORIGINAL RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8660 AUG 11 1980 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO COUNTY CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU FOR PROMOTIONAL SERVICES WHEREAS, this City and the San Mateo County Convention and Visitors Bureau entered into an agreement whereby said Bureau provides certain advertising and promotional services to the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to that agreement, the City of Redwood City provides compensation to the Bureau in the form of a percentage of the proceeds received from the Transient Occupancy Tax collected by the City during a particular fiscal year; and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an amendment to such agreement by and between the City and the Bureau whereby the City will compensate the Bureau for providing advertising and promotional services the sum of Twenty Thousand and No/IOO Dollars ($20,000.00) for the fiscal year July 1, 1980 - June 30, 1981, and it is the intention of this Council to approve the same; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the San Mateo County Convention and Visitors Bureau entitled "Amendment to Agreement Between San Mateo County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the City of Redwood City for Promotional Services" (form dated 8/4/80), for the furnishing of certain community promotional services, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 8660
